Burnout · 180 days

The holiday is over, and two days later you are exactly where you were.

A 180-day rebuild for people whose work ate their energy: switching off after hours, boundaries around scope, recovery that actually restores. One small step a day — including the weeks when nothing works.

Sound familiar?

  • You come back from holiday rested. By Wednesday of the first week you are exactly where you were — and that is the moment you start suspecting this is not ordinary tiredness.

  • You finish work at six. At ten you are still composing tomorrow's conversation, which has not happened yet. There was an evening; it just was not yours.

  • You used to care about what you do. Now you shrug — and it works, because it hurts less. Everything else just happened to go with it.

  • Someone drops by with "a small thing, only a few hours". You agree before you can think, and you find those hours where you always do: in the evening.

How it works

  1. 01

    You take the test

Sixteen questions about where the energy leaks: hours, availability, evenings, meaning or a sense of influence. Result straight away, no card required.

  2. 02

    You get your evenings back

The first two months are not about work — they are about what happens after it. Specific things to do today, not resolutions for next week.

  3. 03

You change the conditions, not your character

Then scope, workload conversations and meaning at work. In the fifth month the program helps you decide whether you stay — with material, not out of desperation.

This is what your day looks like

Four minutes of reading and one thing to do — small enough to fit into a bad day.

Day 33Phase 2 · Switching off

The ritual that ends the day

4 min read

Do this today

Set an end-of-work ritual in three to five steps (close the list, one sentence about what is done, a closing gesture, a change of context, a boundary sentence) and do it today.

Done

Reflection

Which step of the ritual was hardest to do today?

What did you notice?

  • Day 2Start an energy journal: three entries a day plus one line in the evening. For two weeks we change nothing.
  • Day 46Write two or three situations that genuinely justify after-hours contact. Everything else waits until morning.
  • Day 69At the next request for an extra task, show the cost instead of refusing — and go quiet after that sentence.
What it rests on

What it rests on

No motivational slogans. Three frameworks with research behind them:

Three dimensions of burnout

Exhaustion, cynicism and inefficacy are three separate things that respond to different remedies. The program measures them every thirty days, because otherwise you cannot tell what is working.

Recovery experiences

Rebuilding does not come from the absence of work but from detachment, relaxation, mastery and control over your own time. That is why an empty evening is not enough — and why phase four looks the way it does.

Job crafting

Changing the shape of a role without changing jobs: tasks, relationships, and which part of your work you treat as its core. Broken down into specific conversations and specific sentences.

This program is educational and developmental. It is not therapy, it makes no diagnosis and it does not replace contact with a doctor or therapist — and in several places it points you towards one.

The questions you are asking yourself now

How much time a day does it take?+

Three to five minutes of reading and one thing to do — usually under ten minutes. Every challenge has a gentle version for days with nothing left; this is not another obligation added to your week.

Does this mean I should quit my job?+

No. Most people come out of burnout without changing jobs — provided something changes in the conditions, not only in the attitude. The program works on conditions for the first four months and opens the stay-or-leave decision only on day 165, when there is something to base it on.

My burnout comes from the organisation, not from me. What good is this?+

The program says so plainly and does not pretend it will fix your company. It gives you the tools on your side — end of day, availability, scope, recovery, conversations — and shows honestly where they end. One of the days is called "the mismatch that cannot be fixed from inside".

Is this therapy?+

No. It is an educational and developmental program. In three places — days 12, 87 and 156 — it lays out the differences between burnout and depression and points to a doctor or therapist. If thoughts of taking your own life appear, the program says it plainly: contact someone the same day, without waiting for anything.

I have no strength for another program. How is this different?+

It treats having no strength as the starting point, not as an excuse. Challenges have minimum versions, phase six builds a system that survives a quarter without daily lessons, and by the end the whole program fits on one sheet of paper.

How do I cancel?+

In the Account tab, in two clicks. Before every renewal you get an email with the price and the date.
