Loneliness · 180 days

It has gone quiet around you — and nothing bad happened.

A 180-day rebuild for people whose network scattered: a map of what is actually missing, a context with a rhythm, conversations with substance. One small step a day — including the weeks with no energy for anything.

Sound familiar?

  • You open your phone, scroll the contact list down and back up. There are forty people in it. You close the phone without writing to any of them.

  • Friday evening. Nobody has written. The sentence that comes is not "I have a free evening" — it is something far worse about you.

  • The meeting really went well. Three hours, plenty of laughter. You get home and twenty minutes later it is exactly as before.

  • You think of someone the contact broke off with three years ago for no reason at all. Each time you decide it would be odd to write now.

How it works

  1. 01

    You take the test

Sixteen questions about what exactly is missing: one close person, a group, occasions, or initiative. Result straight away, no card required.

  2. 02

    You disarm the mechanism

Loneliness sustains itself — and that is not a metaphor. The first two months show how the loop works and where it can be broken.

  3. 03

You build a place, not acquaintances

Friendships come from repeated contact in the same place. The program builds a context and a rhythm, then teaches how to turn a conversation about nothing into a conversation.

Four minutes of reading and one thing to do — small enough to fit into a bad day.

Day 39Phase 2 · The loop

The first message

4 min read

Do this today

Pick one person whose contact lapsed for no reason, write a 1–10 prediction and send them a message today: two sentences, something specific, no apology for the gap.

Reflection

Who did you write to, and what reaction do you predict?

What did you notice?

  • Day 8Fill in the contact map: six functions, names from the last three months. Leave empty fields empty.
  • Day 68Choose three places you go to anyway and set a fixed time for each.
  • Day 98In your next conversation ask one question following directly from the other person's last sentence.
What it rests on

What it rests on

No motivational slogans. Three frameworks with research behind them:

Two kinds of loneliness

Missing one close person and missing a group are two different things needing two different tools. A mistake here costs months — which is why the program starts with it.

The loneliness loop

Chronic isolation raises vigilance to signs of rejection, vigilance leads to withdrawal, and withdrawal produces evidence. The program disarms the loop at the interpretation stage, because that is where it starts.

Proximity and repetition

Acquaintances form through regular contact in the same place and deepen through graded, mutual exchange. Broken down into specific weeks and specific sentences.

This program is educational and developmental. It is not therapy, it makes no diagnosis and it does not replace contact with a doctor or therapist — and in several places it points you towards one.

The questions you are asking yourself now

How much time a day does it take?+

Three to five minutes of reading and one thing to do — usually under ten minutes. Every challenge has a gentle version for days with no energy; some tasks are one sentence written on paper.

Is this a program about meeting new people?+

Only in one of its six phases. Meeting people is rarely the bottleneck — more often it is the absence of a place where you see the same people regularly, and the fact that conversations stall at the level of politeness. The program works on both.

I am an introvert. Is this not for me?+

Introversion is not a problem to solve here. You set the goal yourself on day four — and if it reads "one close person and one evening among people a month", that is a full-fledged goal. The program guards the difference between a preference and withdrawal, because they are two different things.

What if it is not loneliness but anxiety?+

The program separates them on day 26, using three specific questions, and says plainly: with marked social anxiety the right route is cognitive-behavioural therapy, not a development program. The test at the end will flag it if your answers point that way.

I have a family and a partner. Is this about me?+

Emotional loneliness in a close relationship is one of the commonest and least often named. You can have a full house and nobody you tell hard things to. The program devotes separate days to it in phases one and four.

How do I cancel?+

In the Account tab, in two clicks. Before every renewal you get an email with the price and the date.

This is not about what you are like. It is about what disappeared.

The test is free and requires no card.
